RUSTY
ROBINS OVERCOME NEWHAVEN
Newhaven
0-4 Hassocks
The
Robins continued their good run of form with a rusty
apprehensive performance against the leagues bottom
club Newhaven. It clearly showed that the team had
only played two competitive matches in the space of of
6 weeks. It took the Robins over half an hour to
capitalise on the ball possession to open the scoring
when midfielder Adam Patterson fired a low shot from
25 yards into the corner of the net. Despite having creating
numerous goal chances the first half ended at 1-0 to
the Robins. The second half performance was slightly
better when in the 48th and 65th minute Matt Amos
grabbed two goals to seal the three points. With the
game in its final stages substitute Nathan Miles
headed a goal on the far post in the 78th mintute.
